Behind the scenes of Episode II
26th Apr 2001
Click for full-size imageA pretty cool behind-the-scenes "featurette" on the making of Star Wars: Episode II has cropped up on StarWars.com.

The short film mainly concerns director B>George Lucas’s use of digital technology in the latest Star Wars instalment, but it does feature brief interviews with Lucas, producer Rick McCallum, and stars Natalie Portman (Queen Amidala) and Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker). Also, there is some good before-and-after effects footage from The Radioland Murders and the Young Indiana Jones TV series. What makes it really essential viewing for Star Wars fans, though, are a couple of brief monitor shots of pre-effects footage from Episode II. It’s certainly the best visual report on Episode II that we’ve seen so far. Click HERE to go straight to the clip.
