According to the Van Halen News Desk (www.vhnd.com) Mrs. Eddie Van Halen, actress Valerie Bertinelli appeared on several US morning radio shows yesterday (26th) to promote her new role in the CBS television series Touched By An Angel. During her interviews, she touched on the Van Halen issue several times, stating that Eddie’s health is great (see below), she prefers the Roth-era Van Halen to the others, Eddie and the band are waiting for Dave to contact them and everyone in the Van Halen camp is fine and ready to go on tour.

Meanwhile, Eddie has issued a statement through the official Van Halen website (www.van-halen.com) regarding his battle with cancer. The good news is that Eddie is, indeed, doing fine and looks like beating it.

David Lee Roth this morning (27th) responded to Eddie’s statement via his own website www.davidleeroth.com: "I was stunned this morning to learn that Eddie has cancer. My condolences. You can whip this, champ. See ya down the road. D."

A nice gesture. Now, if Dave would just pick up the phone and give Eddie a call…
