Palme d’Or awarded to The Pianist.
Roman Polanski’s semi-autobiographical Holocaust movie The Pianist was awarded the coveted Palme d’Or at the close of the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday. Paul Thomas Anderson and South Korean director Im Kwon-Taek shared the Best Director award for Punch-Drunk Love and Chihwaseon, respectively.
